While we depend heavily on our private contributions, we also rely on outside grants from state and community funds. Thank you to Pearl Jam (Future Days Fund), the Fred W. Welcome! Community Jams is the nonprofit development of Portland Casual Jams, a network of 4700+ local musicians on Meetup.com. We connect musicians of all abilities in order to build community, compassion, and harmony by playing live music together. Our studio is about a mile from the intersection of Highway 26 and Highway 217 at 2365 SW Cedar Hills Blvd, Beaverton OR. Across the street, TriMet Bus Line 20 stops across the street and connects Eastside neighborhoods of Portland with Beaverton. We are also a block away from the Cedar Hills Crossing shopping center with restaurants. Please schedule a visit with us through Meetup.com.

Keep our doors open

We rely entirely on your donations to keep things running. Each jam currently costs us $24 per person per jam! Please consider a $20-$25 cash donation at every jam, or better yet, recurring donations on PayPal or Patreon or Vemo to help us cover the costs of operating our studio.

Monday “Anything Goes”  Jam: Hosted by Bodhi, we promise not to refuse any request we make of each other! All levels welcome at our Beaverton Studio from 6-8pm. RSVP

Monday Improv Jam: Hosted by Bodhi, explore a fun, different way of playing live, enjoying the fluidity of improvisation around sets of suggested chords. At our Beaverton Studio from 8-10pm. RSVP

Tuesday Newcomer/Explorer Jam: New to jams or exploring singing or new instruments? Relax with hosts Michael and Tom and play along with songs at our Beaverton Studio from 7-9:30pm. RSVP

Wednesday Workshops: Different leaders and professionals will present ways to help you become a better jam musician. Vocal coaching, rhythm guitar workshops, song circles, improv techniques and more! At the Beaverton Studio from 7-9:30pm. RSVP

Thursday Themed Jams: Setlists feature songs from a popular theme or band, changing each week. All levels welcome at our Beaverton Studio from 7-9:30pm. RSVP

Saturday Newcomer/Explorer Jam: New to jams or exploring singing or new instruments? Host Bodhi helps you connect with familiar, easy-to-play songs at our Beaverton Studio from 1-4:00pm. RSVP

(Bi-monthly) Sunday Build-A-Song: Hosted by Kieron and Steve, roll up your sleeves and collaboratively create a full song. Creativity can be unleashed when motivated! At our Beaverton Studio from 5:00-7:30pm. RSVP

Sunday EZ-Lead Slow Jam (Blues, Folk, Americana): Hosted by Bodhi, these sessions aim to be more akin to ‘campfire sessions’, easy to follow along, and simple to join in. Explore and enjoy the friendly lead opportunities, at our Beaverton Studio from 1:00-3:00pm. RSVP
