Thanks to all who joined us at our First Fridays events, Monthly Jamboree, and other regular jams at our new studio. Our new space is evolving every week for better live music experiences.

New March Jams
Vocalist Club • Tuesdays (March 17/24/31)  7-10pm
One night a week for vocalists to focus on harmonies, background singing, performance pieces, showtunes, and cabaret work. Sing twice, with advice, from a crowd of supportive fellow vocalists and accompanists who are there to make your song soar!  Showtunes around the baby grand with a band! Click here to view on meetup.
FemJam • 2nd Saturdays • March 14  5-8pm
This once-a-month casual play-along jam is for BOTH men and women musicians of all levels. We’ll sing and play our favorite songs by famous female artists. Use the bsteele Music App to pick out songs before the jam: http://www.bsteele.com/bsteeleMusicApp/index.html

Don’t Forget These Jams…
Casual Play-along Jams • Wednesdays 7-10pm, Thursdays 2-5pm, Sundays 1-4pm
Experience a friendly, live music gathering for all types of musicians and abilities with acoustic and electric instruments. We use our own special play-along jam technology that makes it incredibly easy to play along your favorite songs.

Tuneful Improv Workshop • Thursdays 7-10pm
Enjoy the unique improvisational music experience, listening and singing or playing along with an unprepared melody and song structure. Less is more in this environment, aimed at musicians who want to explore live play as a fun and spontaneous collaboration.

Fearless Jam • Sundays 5-8pm
Join musicians who know how to follow along with each other. Try slightly more challenging songs and structures two or three times while keeping it fun. We will amaze ourselves!
Song Charting News
Community Jams uses the bsteele Music App to develop and manage a vast library of song charts that help us jam together. Song charting is a challenging but rewarding experience in learning and sharing favorite songs for jam play. A special team at Community Jams is working to streamline this process, building tools and resources so we can maintain a reliable library.

To communicate with our team about charting songs, please use the new email address: songcharts@communityjams.org. If you want to request or upload a new or edited song chart, please use the new submission form on the Community Jams website: http://communityjams.org/submitsong/
Please visit our Portland Casual Jams meetup website to reserve your spot at the jams.
Thanks again for your continued support. See you at the next jam!
